Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of SiteFolio at sitefolio.app and related vanity hostnames under sitefolio.app. Operator: KLJr Online. Contact info@mail.sitefolio.app.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
SiteFolio helps you turn a CV into a hosted personal website. You can upload a PDF or enter details by hand, edit the result, choose a template and style, preview for free, and publish to a URL you choose on sitefolio.app after unlocking.
- Not a downloadable source-code license or boilerplate sale.
- Not a job board, recruitment agency, or employment guarantee.
- v1 is one site per account. Uploading a new CV replaces the draft for that site; it does not create a second public site.
- Default public addresses use
you.sitefolio.app. Custom (bring-your-own) domains are available with an active unlock (1-Year Pass or Lifetime). - Published pages always show a discrete "Made with SiteFolio" credit. It is not removable and is not a paid hide.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account (email/password or Google sign-in).
- You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country (and at least 16 where that is the digital consent age).
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these Terms, or create legal risk.
3. Your content
- You retain ownership of your CV text, uploads, and profile content.
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and transmit that content solely to operate SiteFolio (including AI extraction you request, preview, publish, and CV download).
- You represent that you have the rights to upload and publish the material, and that it does not infringe others' rights or break the law.
- You are responsible for what you publish. Public sites are visible on the open internet. Unpublishing does not erase copies already shared or archived by third parties.
- Do not publish others' personal data without a lawful basis. Prefer hiding contact fields you do not want public.
4. Extraction and AI
When you upload a CV, we may send document content to an AI provider to propose structured fields. You must review and correct the result before treating it as accurate. We do not guarantee perfect extraction, especially for scans, unusual layouts, or non-English documents. Manual entry is always available.
5. Publishing and usernames
- Building and previewing are free. Publishing a live vanity site requires an active unlock (see Billing).
- Usernames must be available, not misleading, and not abusive. We may reclaim or refuse names that impersonate brands, people, or the platform, or that violate law.
- We may remove or unpublish content that is illegal, harmful, phishing-related, or that violates these Terms, with or without notice when urgency requires it.
6. Billing and unlocks
- Paid unlocks are one-time Stripe Checkout payments in EUR: 1-Year Pass (€20) or Lifetime (€35), as shown on Pricing. Prices may change for new purchases; we will not silently convert a one-time unlock into a subscription.
- 1-Year Pass: live vanity URL, custom domain, analytics, export, and public CV download for about twelve months from grant (or extended from a remaining Year expiry). When it ends, public URLs (including a custom domain) stop serving until you renew or buy Lifetime. Draft content and username stay.
- Lifetime: same live unlock without expiry for that account's single site while the product and your account exist, subject to these Terms.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Their terms and privacy notice also apply to payment processing.
- Full refunds or disputes may revoke site access and take the site offline.
7. Refunds
Unlock is a digital service. Contact info@mail.sitefolio.app promptly if:
- You were charged twice
- Payment succeeded but unlock did not apply after a short wait
- Mandatory consumer law in your country requires a remedy
Where EU/EEA consumer withdrawal rights apply to digital content, you may lose the right of withdrawal once delivery of the digital service has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgment. We do not promise refunds solely because you changed your mind after a successful publish. Chargebacks without contacting us first may result in account suspension while we investigate.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use SiteFolio to:
- Break the law or infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
- Host malware, phishing, spam, or fraudulent offers
- Impersonate others or misrepresent credentials in a deceptive way
- Attack, scrape abusively, or overload our infrastructure
- Attempt to bypass billing, rate limits, or security controls
- Resell access to the platform itself as a competing hosted service
9. Our intellectual property
The SiteFolio product, branding, software, and documentation (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our code or brand to you. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
10. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change. We may discontinue the product with reasonable notice when practical. We are not liable for third-party outages (Firebase, Stripe, OpenAI, Resend, Vercel, DNS, or browsers).
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that published sites will rank in search engines, impress employers, or produce any career outcome.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KLJr Online and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for unlocks in the twelve months before the claim (or €20 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including certain consumer rights and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limits are void).
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply. Courts in Poland have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory rights.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and request account deletion.
